Can’t BELIEVE how many hours of my formative years Stephen J. Cannell was responsible for… This isn’t ALL of his stuff I watched… but these are ones I know I watched fairly regularly at one point or another.
* 21 Jump Street
* The A-Team
* Baa Baa Black Sheep
* The Commish
* The Greatest American Hero
* Hardcastle and McCormick
* Hunter
* Magnum, P.I. (acting)
* Riptide
* The Rockford Files
* Stingray
Just the hours watching A-Team, Magnum, and Rockford really add up.
October 1st, 2010 at 1:54 pmThanks for picking us against Colorado, Mac. Makes me feel a little better.
October 1st, 2010 at 1:58 pmI don’t know if you should be happy, I think I’ve picked UGA every week.
October 1st, 2010 at 1:59 pmOk scratch that. Let’s just say I’ll feel a little better if you guys beat Florida this weekend.
October 1st, 2010 at 2:02 pmIs batting Melky 5th the baseball equivalent of playing chess without your queen, or casting Eliza Dushku as the lead in a television show?
October 1st, 2010 at 2:03 pmHey!
Dushku is very, very pretty.
October 1st, 2010 at 2:12 pmAnd very, very hot in “Dollhouse.”
October 1st, 2010 at 2:19 pmShe was very hot in Dollhouse, a show I actually liked. But she was one of the weaker links in the show. The strongest links, in my opinion, were Olivia Williams, Enver Gjokaj, Reed Diamond, and my college acquaintance Fran Kranz.
October 1st, 2010 at 2:30 pm#5 – its worse than that
Infante
October 1st, 2010 at 2:39 pmHeyward
Bmac
Lee
Melky
Nate
AAG
Brooks
Beachy
Phillies lineup – no Victorino or Polanco:
Rollins SS
October 1st, 2010 at 2:54 pmFrancisco RF
Utley 2B
Howard 1B
Werth CF
Ibanez LF
Dobbs 3B
Ruiz C
Kendrick P
Man, Cannell died? He just produced The A-Team movie!
October 1st, 2010 at 2:59 pmWhat are the chances Charlie and Bobby have a gentleman’s agreement for the phillies to take it easy this weekend and let a win or two slide the braves way?
October 1st, 2010 at 3:11 pmContinuing our conversation from the last thread about our Northerly Neighbors, here’s a slightly riveting story about Quebec, “The Most Corrupt Province in Canada“!
(It being Canada, the magazine has already apologized for having given offense, writing, “Maclean’s is a great supporter of both the Carnaval and of Quebec tourism. Our coverage of political issues in the province will do nothing to diminish that support.”)
October 1st, 2010 at 3:22 pm@8 – Critiquing Eliza Dushku for her, uh, acting? OHHHHHkay.
October 1st, 2010 at 3:29 pmI hope Turner is packed for Bobby this weekend. I can’t be there, unfortunately.
October 1st, 2010 at 3:34 pmI loved the Rockford Files! Jim Garner = Great TV Star!
October 1st, 2010 at 3:35 pmRH Vance Worley will pitch Sat for Phillies. Hamels will pitch Sunday. They are going #1 Doc, #2 Oswalt, #3 Hamels for playoffs.
October 1st, 2010 at 3:51 pm@15
I think as of now there are only standing room tickets available for this weekend.
October 1st, 2010 at 3:54 pm#15/#18 – yeah, thats true. I heard it was a packed house and only about 50-100 standing room tickets available now
October 1st, 2010 at 4:12 pmBy the way, for those of you who wondered what was up with Will Carroll, wonder no longer:
October 1st, 2010 at 4:31 pmWerth in centerfield tonight. Boras will be pleased.
I know it probably makes sense with a two game lead with three to play, but I was kind of hoping we’d just keep rolling with the three man rotation right through the playoffs. We’re all-in at this point.
October 1st, 2010 at 4:54 pmThe Phillies “taking it easy” are still way more talented than the Braves “desperately fighting for a playoff spot.”
I know the other options suck, but it still burns me that Melky is in the lineup. Especially with a flyball pitcher in there.
October 1st, 2010 at 5:32 pmGreat. Fox Sports has pulled their programming from Dish Network after Dish refused to pay a rate increase. Now I can’t watch the game. Anybody know were I can get it online?
October 1st, 2010 at 5:39 pmWhy is Bobby so fascinated with Melky and hitting him 5th? Ugh.
October 1st, 2010 at 5:57 pmWell…it is kind of fascinating.
October 1st, 2010 at 5:58 pmAwesome. The radio station I can get the Braves on has high school football instead.
October 1st, 2010 at 5:59 pmGO BRAVES.
DIE MELKY.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:06 pmDirecTV is better. I used to have Dish and don’t regret the switch.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:06 pmIs it just me, or does Moylan have really girly eyelashes?
October 1st, 2010 at 6:10 pmCourtney C- send me an email (greerscott50@gmail) and I will give you my password for MLB.com. I live inPhilly and I’m work, so the game is blacked out for me.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:13 pmI hope Turner is packed for Bobby this weekend. I can’t be there, unfortunately.
Yeah I won’t be there either but, for reasons I’m not entirely clear on, I will be attending Joe Torre’s final game as Dodger manager on Sunday.
I have three pretty sweet tickets and will be taking my daughter and her best friend. So it will be me, two five year old girls with no interest in baseball, and a meaningless Dodgers-DBacks game during the hottest week of the year. I expect it to be every bit as miserable as it sounds. Like Beachy tonight, if we make past the fifth inning, it will be a miracle.
The Dad of the other girl, who is from Scotland and knows precious little about the game, wanted to take the girls and finally got tickets for the last game of the year. But – you guessed it – had a last minute business trip come up and now I’m stuck with it. It is Fan Appreciation Day presented by Hyundai so maybe I’ll win a car (if ‘car’ is indeed the proper word for a Hyundai). Although given the current ownership situation I expect the prizes to be pretty lean this year.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:19 pmIs Melky Cabrera going to be batting fifth in the playoffs?
October 1st, 2010 at 6:24 pmI’m listening to Reds announcers talking about how, if Drew Stubbs were a rookie, he’d win ROY over Heyward this year…
Can this game start already?
October 1st, 2010 at 6:25 pmWith Hinske hitting a homer and getting a bases loaded walk in his last 2 PA I’m surprised he isn’t getting a start tonight. At least he is a power threat.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:25 pmIf Albert Pujols were a rookie, he’d beat Heyward for the award, too, IMO.
Any Milton High alums on this board? VU’s looking to close out its 2011 hoops recruiting class with an athletic shooter named Dai-Jon Parker. I’m trying to remember the last basketball player from Georgia we signed, and it may have been Brendan Plavich back in 2000. Kind of hard to believe.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:29 pmLove me some Beachy.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:41 pmFirst ever home start. Now. In this. Crazy.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:41 pm36- The crazier part is that I think he can really get it done, based on his first two starts.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:43 pmLet’s destroy Kendrick.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:43 pmHe’s facing almost all of them. Victorino sits, but I don’t think anyone else scary is out. If Beachy can get through this, I’ll be impressed.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:48 pmhas heyward been wearing the protective brace on his thumb while running? i dont remember.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:49 pmchip: “HIGH FLY BALL…”. ball caught about 220 feet out.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:50 pmLEE!!!!
October 1st, 2010 at 6:53 pmScoring from first! Awesome. Someone ate his Wheaties.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:53 pmDERREK!
October 1st, 2010 at 6:53 pmYes yes yes!!
October 1st, 2010 at 6:53 pmAnd now….Melky!!
October 1st, 2010 at 6:53 pmi h8 chunkydunky. good job, lee!
October 1st, 2010 at 6:55 pmWatching Melky’s swing is like watching Frenchy. You see them swinging so hard just to see a routine flyout, ha.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:55 pmMelky eats poop.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:55 pmSeriously, why isn’t Conrad hitting 5th?
October 1st, 2010 at 6:55 pmWerth tried to hit that 5,000 feet.
October 1st, 2010 at 6:59 pmScored a single. Yunel would totally have gotten to that.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:03 pmNice. The kid is on fire.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:05 pmHey,did you guys hear? Beachy was not drafted? Wow. On a side note, Jerome Bettis is from Detroit.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:05 pmYunel who?
October 1st, 2010 at 7:06 pmI think Ibanez is an alien. His head just looks so weird.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:06 pm@54 Yeap, that’s right. He came absolutely from no where.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:07 pmChip doesn’t even know who’s batting. Can he please get fired, already?
October 1st, 2010 at 7:10 pmYou crushed that one New Guy.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:10 pmChipper’s already the hitting coach.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:12 pmChipper would be a great hitting coach.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:15 pmI love watching Melky run.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:17 pmI love watching Bobby shake his head after that play.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:18 pmOK, I’ll play
I love poking myself in the eye with a sharp stick.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:19 pmWow! Not sure we got him… Good job, Joyce! What a play.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:21 pmThat was just sick.
Call was right.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:21 pmThat was a helluva play.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:21 pmLee can play some defense.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:22 pmSo, the braves goes to po if the braves win and the padres lose today?
Nella fantasia esiste un vento caldo,
October 1st, 2010 at 7:23 pmIo sogno d’anime che sono sempre libere,
Come le nuvole che volano
I have been being addicted to an angel’s voice.
Lee’s defense has been phenomenal.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:23 pmugh chip
Hammered to center! I expected Infante to make the play
October 1st, 2010 at 7:23 pm69- That’s right. If either happens, the Braves are guaranteed to host a play-in game.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:28 pmThat soundtrack for the Pads-Giants preview was an interesting production choice.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:28 pmInfante’s OPS on September 1 was 833; it currently sits at 775.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:28 pmChip must’ve not ever heard the word “jinx” before. He keeps talking about the playoffs like there a done deal and it’s making me nervous.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:28 pmChip is so awful that I’ve opted for the Phillies feed.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:29 pmChipper teaching Ankiel how not to get striked out.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:29 pmChipper for hitting coach…yes.
And Maddux for pitching coach.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:31 pmHow can we get rid of Chip?
October 1st, 2010 at 7:33 pmFeed him to Melky.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:38 pmThat Georgia lottery commercial was indefensible. Not just a bad idea, but an idea that leaves no beginnings of a clue as to what its aims or inspirations were.
Because goats breathe fire, right? In fairy tales and stuff?
Oh, well at least it’s normal to bring a goat to a bar and grill, right? And goats are emblematic of luck and gambling. No?
Well, here we go. At least there’s that old story about the goat that laid the golden eggs. That must have been it. Wait, goats are live-birthing?
October 1st, 2010 at 7:38 pmIf you topped him with sour cream and onion, it might work.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:39 pmThat is definitely an out if Yunel is the shortstop.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:41 pmIt’s two outs.
We miss you Yesco.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:41 pmHoward would have been out if we were in the shift, right? Or were we?
Too bad about the quicksand in LF and SS. It’s really making Melky and AAG look bad.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:42 pmI loathe AAG.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:42 pmWell, Dish Network found a way, but it’s a little extreme. Listening to Don and Jim now. I would listen more often if it was synced with TV. How on earth is Don not on TV? Don and Jim are miles better than Chip and Joe.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:46 pmJim Powell is really, really good. If I get desperate, I pipe my radio through my laptop so I can delay it to sync with TV. You have to do it with broadcast radio, though, because internet radio lags.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:48 pmMan, I hate Ruiz.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:48 pmSomeone tell Melky that if you catch the ball in the air the batter is out.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:48 pmMan, I hate the Phillies.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:49 pmNo Prado in the lineup???
October 1st, 2010 at 7:49 pmI like how Joe just credited Melky not laying out as a premeditated “strategic” move.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:49 pmI really don’t like the idea of Beachy going through the order again next inning. Could get ugly.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:50 pmThat inning could have been a lot worse.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:50 pmBrule, Prado is out for the season.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:52 pmThree crap hits in that inning. So annoying. Why can’t we get some of those?
October 1st, 2010 at 7:53 pmThe phillies don’t have any easy outs. No melkys on that team.
.396 OBP for Ruiz. Really? He actually leads the team.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:53 pmBecause the Phillies have a good defense.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:54 pmMelky sprints backwards to play the ball on a short-hop. He’s one of the worst all-around players I’ve ever seen (and there have been *lots* of bad Braves over the years). How this guy is on a major league roster is just baffling to me.
(There that should be enough poor-mouthing to at least force Melky to get the game winning hit tonight)
October 1st, 2010 at 7:56 pmIt’s more like a waddle than a sprint.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:58 pmI’m kind of glad he only struck out with a guy on first. When he’s up, I expect the worst.
October 1st, 2010 at 7:59 pmWell he’s 0 for his last 18 and has a sub 600 OPS this month. Can’t do much worse than that.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm3-1 counts are when magic happens.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pmKendrick can’t throw 3 strikes in a row yet we are doing nothing.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:04 pmWhen the team really need him, if he can’t be available. He is a good-for-nothing. Though chipper is one of my favorite braves even he is a good-for-nothing. He is not a real hero.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:04 pmC’mon, Melky, have a heart attack.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:07 pmI think you gotta pinch hit for Beachy here.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:09 pmWhy, you didn’t hit for Melky last inning.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:11 pmI would like to introduce Melky to a nifty new maneuver. It’s called the “slide”. Quite useful when trying to get to that ball at your feet.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:11 pmLets play Beachy in LF.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:12 pmI had to push the glasses up and rub my eyes after that last comment, Mac.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:12 pmBeachy is an OBP machine.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:12 pmFirst major league walk. There’s something.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:12 pmOk, come on Jason.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:12 pmThat was just weird- having a .325 hitter bunt the pitcher over.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:13 pmI don’t think NL minor league affiliates should have the DH. Pitchers need to learn to hit, baserun, etc.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:14 pmChip said all year long Heyward has been clutch, which makes me immediately think he hasn’t been.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:14 pmDamn. Heyward hit that well.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:16 pmBEAT KYLE KENDRICK’S ASS
October 1st, 2010 at 8:16 pmIbanez played that ball well
October 1st, 2010 at 8:17 pmHeyward should have bunted Beachy to third. Obviously.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:17 pmHeyward actually has been “clutch.” .930 OPS with RISP, 1.095 OPS with RISP and two outs.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:17 pmYES.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:18 pmI freaking love you Lee!!!
October 1st, 2010 at 8:18 pmDerek!
October 1st, 2010 at 8:18 pmAnd then there’s Melky.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:19 pmDie Melky.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:19 pmI hate Melky
October 1st, 2010 at 8:19 pmOf all the Melky at-bats this year, that was maybe the Melkiest.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:19 pmWow, Melky.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:19 pmWhere is Eric Hinske?
October 1st, 2010 at 8:19 pm1st pitch pop up. jajajaja
He really SUCKS!
October 1st, 2010 at 8:20 pmthis is past bobby being stubborn. now, he’s just being an idiot. MELKY IS HORRIBLE, BOBBY! WHY WOULD YOU BAT SOMEONE HORRIBLE 5TH?
October 1st, 2010 at 8:20 pmFrom @braveshaiku: Sometimes I feel fat / Then I watch Melky play left / And I feel less fat
October 1st, 2010 at 8:20 pm@123 I know. I just thought it had become a perverse universe now that I just assume anything Chip says is wrong.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:20 pmWhy on earth would you hit Melky fifth?
October 1st, 2010 at 8:20 pmMystery Date
Mystery Date
Will it be a Lee? GASP
Or a Melky….sigh.
Open the door for your Mystery Date.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:21 pmGoddamn, Melky.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:22 pmMelky really does make Ryan Howard look svelte.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:23 pmAll those Philly hits were at Melky.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:23 pmbobby needs to practice tough love on melky.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:24 pmI think we should name Mike Leach a coach and have him lock Melky in the shed.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:24 pmThat trivia question’s good. My first guess is Moises Alou.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:25 pmwho would you rather have at the plate in a clutch situation? Frenchy or Melkey?
October 1st, 2010 at 8:25 pmI miss Andruw.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:27 pmJoey, good guess, I am going Bonds
October 1st, 2010 at 8:27 pmGood job Beach
October 1st, 2010 at 8:30 pmInfante didn’t cover
October 1st, 2010 at 8:33 pmEmbarrassing.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:33 pmSo defense is important, huh.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:33 pmWhy wouldn’t you just go to first LIKE A NORMAL PERSON
October 1st, 2010 at 8:33 pmBeachy’s struck out 15 in 15 innings. Just so you know. Really, I’d be in favor of carrying him as a long man on the NLDS roster. Especially if it’s him versus Melky.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:33 pmConrad gets the error? Sigh.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:34 pmwith the catcher running you go to 2?!??!
October 1st, 2010 at 8:35 pmThis situation feels familiar. Throw it 3 inches outside and see if he calls it strike three.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:35 pmBeachy’s not eligible for post-season, is he?
October 1st, 2010 at 8:35 pmI have no problem with that error going to Conrad. Conrad needs to have the arm strength to throw to first base with a catcher running.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:36 pm@157, he can be, thanks to Medlen and Chipper.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:36 pmFreaking fat ass.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:37 pmFOLK VILLAIN
October 1st, 2010 at 8:37 pmTerrible. Ugh.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:37 pmThat 3-2 pitch was not close.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:37 pmthey took beachy out for this.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:38 pmInfante should get the error
October 1st, 2010 at 8:38 pmMoylan should have been out of the inning but you only exacerbate the problem by letting him face a LHB.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:38 pmHe might be because of Medlen being on the 60 day DL, but I think we have to use that spot on Kimbrel who wasn’t on the 25 man on August 31st.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:39 pmLet me get this straight:
A ball to center that should have been caught
October 1st, 2010 at 8:39 pmintentional walk
error on easy grounder with catcher running
walk
We have multiple guys. Medlen, Chipper, Prado. The positional constraint is only within a playoff series, not for subbing people on the postseason roster.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:40 pmMOTHERFUCKER
October 1st, 2010 at 8:40 pmWow. Go Giants?
October 1st, 2010 at 8:40 pmGotta be shtting me.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:40 pmFuck this.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:41 pmGo Giants
October 1st, 2010 at 8:41 pmWhy was mike dunn even pitching?
October 1st, 2010 at 8:41 pmL – Beachy
lol
October 1st, 2010 at 8:41 pmMother FUCK!
October 1st, 2010 at 8:41 pmI am going to go cry.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:42 pmI hate phillies. And really tired and sleepy to die now.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:43 pmLets go Giants!
October 1st, 2010 at 8:44 pmMelky Cabrera betting not be in the fucking lineup tomorrow.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:46 pmresilient. remember, guys? except for melky, of course.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:46 pmCan’t give the Phillies 5 outs
October 1st, 2010 at 8:47 pmEven with this loss we’re in good shape. Out of 32 possibilities from the three NL West games and the two Braves games:
In 26 situations, Braves win the wild card.
In 3 situations, Braves tie just the Pads.
In two situations, Braves tie the Pads and Giants.
Only one out of 32 situations remaining if the team loses this game results in the Braves’ outright elimination.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:47 pmgeez, alex looks stupid bad right now.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:49 pmOkay, I’m there. Might as well play Diory.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:50 pmI don’t think I could stomach a sweep from the Phillies second string.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:50 pmThis sucks. Chip and Joe are clueless. No insight. I wish I could put this comment section on my tv and mute these two homers.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:51 pmThis is not even close to a playoff caliber team. It will be some weird type of karmic justice when we back in after getting swept but the Pads losing 2 of 3, then proceed to win the World Series via a streak of completely improbable luck.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:52 pmYou know you’re bad when Chip says something about you that is actually true and not just stupid.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:53 pmanyone else have Dish Network? What the hell is this with them not carrying Fox channels due to Fox’s price increases? its complete BS
October 1st, 2010 at 8:56 pmPut Kawakami in so the relievers Bobby likes to use are all (except Moylan) completely rested.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:56 pmFarnsworth is fine, too. Burn him up.
October 1st, 2010 at 8:57 pmIf it makes anybody feel better, this was probably our least favorable matchup of the three, assuming the Hamels start is largely a bullpen game.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:00 pmMLB network has a thing in the corner saying “NYY/BOS rain delay.” Would they skip Giants/Pads for the Yankersox?
I mean, I can always watch it on the MLB.TV, but the cable channel tends to not stutter at inopportune moments. Plus, it would just suck to exist in a world where that would happen.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:03 pmGreetings from Las Vegas…
I love the sports book, but watching that Rollins GSHR sucked.
Go Giants
October 1st, 2010 at 9:04 pmBeachy pitched his ass off.
Basically it’s going to take a miracle for us to win on a day when Agony, Melky and McLoser are all in the lineup.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:06 pmMy MLB network says Braves/phils but is showing TB/KC because I live in atl. Next game shows giants/pads.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:07 pmLisp up in the ‘pen.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:08 pmFuck that back stabbing AT&T Q/A BS! WTF?
October 1st, 2010 at 9:10 pmI think Hamels AND Oswalt are both pitching a few innings Sunday. So it has to happen tomorrow or we’re effd
October 1st, 2010 at 9:16 pmcan the bottom of the 8th be anymore discouraging?
October 1st, 2010 at 9:18 pmChip thinks the appearance of the Lisp might get the crowd fired up.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:19 pmMLB Network is showing Dbacks/Dodgers. What?
October 1st, 2010 at 9:20 pmhopefully Matt Cain can help us out a bit tonight
October 1st, 2010 at 9:22 pmHe looks good so far. His slider looks like it’s breaking pretty sharply.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:23 pmI really wish these guys would stop talking about Braves’ fans wishing the Phils would call off the dogs. We don’t. We want our guys to play freaking baseball. Cover 2nd. Catch a ball hit right at you. Look like you want to go to the post season.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:23 pmPads got Snitkered.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:28 pmThat play at the plate was nice. Padres pushed too hard, and the Giants didn’t mess it up.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:29 pmSan Diego has a Snitker!
October 1st, 2010 at 9:29 pmoh dear lord.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:30 pmSon of a BITCH.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:32 pmmac,
October 1st, 2010 at 9:34 pmlet it go down that mike minor should have gotten out of that inning unscathed. brooks conrad sure is showing tonight why he’s a bench player and not a regular starter.
Beachy was the best pitcher on the mound for us tonight.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:34 pmAlso, the more runs they score, the easier this game becomes to forget. Let’s hope the Giants win and just move on to tomorrow.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:34 pmBruce Chen just shut out the Rays.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:36 pmI assume MLB Network is gonna switch to the Padres-Giants game once our game is over?
October 1st, 2010 at 9:39 pm2 on, 1 out, Posey up. Looking good for our dear friends the Giants.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:39 pmSo they FINALLY let Boscan get some action.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:41 pmJ.C. Boscan in the game.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:41 pmGlad they got Boscan in. Seems like there have been some disasters that he should have gotten into before, and he was running out of time.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:43 pm1-0 Pads. Crap.
October 1st, 2010 at 9:44 pmBoscan 0-for-0, BB, R.
Might be his career line.
October 1st, 2010 at 10:04 pmfitting. melky will get to make the last out. it’s hard to blame cox on a night when the braves lose 11-5, but putting melky in the lineup at 5th is like playing russian roulette with 6 bullets.
October 1st, 2010 at 10:06 pm4-0 Pads – Gonzo withe a 3 run bomb
October 1st, 2010 at 10:07 pmpads up 4-0
October 1st, 2010 at 10:07 pmThis game exemplifies losing as a team. Everyone has to contribute.
October 1st, 2010 at 10:08 pmExcept Derrek Lee. I think it exemplifies how one guy having a great night can’t make up for everyone else sucking.
October 1st, 2010 at 10:10 pmVery true, Mac. It’s a shame that he’s finally coming around but the rest of the team is just done.
God, it needs to be tomorrow, and we need to freaking win.
October 1st, 2010 at 10:12 pmRecapped.
October 1st, 2010 at 10:15 pm
