Trio was a pretty cool television channel.
June 20th, 2009 at 3:20 pmACHE is playing left field tonight. Most of the time I don’t complain about this because there’s generally a bigger issue, like Groundhog. But Fenway Park just isn’t the place for him to be playing the field. May Lowe have the sinker working tonight.
June 20th, 2009 at 4:39 pmAche is awful, but he has the most experience in Boston than the other OF’ers.
So at least he should know where to go when he is “gliding” to the ball.
June 20th, 2009 at 4:58 pmJohnny Cash was cool.
June 20th, 2009 at 4:59 pmPouring in New York. Doubt game will be played in Boston.
June 20th, 2009 at 5:02 pmThey’re not expecting rain in Boston until after midnight. Should get tonight’s game in.
June 20th, 2009 at 5:19 pmAnyone else having issues with MLB.tv? I can’t tell if it’s on my end or theirs.
June 20th, 2009 at 6:28 pm2 innings for beckett,2 hits, but faced the minimum. that’s the braves for ya…
my mlbtv is working fine.
June 20th, 2009 at 6:29 pmFREE MATT DIAZ
June 20th, 2009 at 6:30 pmhell of a play by mclouth.
June 20th, 2009 at 6:31 pmI imagine that play would be exactly what you UZR guys are talking about, no? Horrible break, miraculous catch.
June 20th, 2009 at 6:32 pmi’ve watched the replay over and over again…that was not a bad break on the ball.
June 20th, 2009 at 6:35 pmhe made that play on a line drive in left center on the run. in no way was that a bad jump.
June 20th, 2009 at 6:37 pmFrancoeur sucks
June 20th, 2009 at 6:43 pmfrancoeur sux so bad that when he hits one well, he still gets out.
June 20th, 2009 at 6:44 pmKJ’s back in the lineup… this one should be a loss
June 20th, 2009 at 6:45 pmis that a cheap shot at me jon? if so, i will take it! strong like bull
June 20th, 2009 at 6:47 pmJeffrey sucks, but if he would have plate appearances like that more often I would be happy.
June 20th, 2009 at 6:51 pm@18 – why? I think he hit that on the meat part of the bat. Just about anyone else does that, and the ball is out of the park.
June 20th, 2009 at 6:58 pmBeckett is getting a really wide strike zone right now. Inside and outside by a few inches.
June 20th, 2009 at 6:59 pmJoshua, because he didn’t swing at stupid pitches like he usually does. As long as he appears to be rooted in right field I’ll take what little I can get.
June 20th, 2009 at 7:12 pmwell, that wasnt a good play.
June 20th, 2009 at 7:21 pmTrade McLouth.
June 20th, 2009 at 7:22 pm@23 – I’m guessing that was a joke?
June 20th, 2009 at 7:24 pmOf course it was. But it’s just another reason that we need Schafer to start hitting in AAA so he can be promoted and push McLouth over to RF. No loss offensively (perhaps a gain) and way better defense.
Shame for Lowe, but you really shouldn’t give up doubles to Nick Green, or let Jason Varitek hit a ball even that far.
June 20th, 2009 at 7:26 pm@25 – Agree with Varitek, but that ball to Green was a very good pitch – down and in. Sometimes, you’ve just got to tip your cap.
June 20th, 2009 at 7:40 pmbeckett looks pretty unhittable tonight. we shall lose 2-0 on a complete game by beckett.
June 20th, 2009 at 7:41 pmbarton getting it together at gwinnett. will he be our rightfielder soon?
June 20th, 2009 at 7:44 pm@27 Yeap. It certainly looks like it will end up that way. Typcial Beckett performance AGAINST US.
June 20th, 2009 at 7:45 pmIsnt Barton supposed to be the worst defensive OF in the history of baseball?
June 20th, 2009 at 7:46 pmroyals still scouting john francoeur. why, no one will ever know…
http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2009/06/royals-still-scouting-jeff-francoeur.html
June 20th, 2009 at 7:47 pmMaybe they cant believe he is actually that bad.
June 20th, 2009 at 7:47 pm@19 I was thinking the exact same thing. Frenchy is done.
June 20th, 2009 at 7:47 pm@31
Well, they are the Royals.. there’s probably a reason they’been about as relevant as the WNBA.
June 20th, 2009 at 7:53 pmKJ is done too. I am sick of watching him.
June 20th, 2009 at 7:56 pmDP ball coming from Francoeur.
edit–called that one, though it doesn’t take any special skill to predict the groundhog’s futility
as my 8 yr old likes to say when Francoeur comes to bat–inning over
June 20th, 2009 at 8:11 pmHas anything ever been more inevitable?
June 20th, 2009 at 8:11 pmYou just can’t put into words to describe the suckness of Frenchy. Until the day we don’t see the names of Frenchy and KJ in the lineup, this team is not going anywhere.
June 20th, 2009 at 8:12 pmThat DP by Francouer needs to be the end of his time in right field and in Atlanta. It’s just the last straw already. Way to kill ANOTHER rally, loser.
June 20th, 2009 at 8:12 pmLOL!!
June 20th, 2009 at 8:13 pmWhat an idiot. I want him benched right now to send a message (like that will happen).
June 20th, 2009 at 8:13 pmI literally laughed out loud once I saw the ball hit on the ground.
June 20th, 2009 at 8:15 pmAlex, how many last straws have Frenchy gotten?
June 20th, 2009 at 8:15 pma haystack’s worth
June 20th, 2009 at 8:15 pmI’ve run out of clever or interesting things to say about Francoeur’s suckitude.
June 20th, 2009 at 8:15 pmwhen the count went to 3-1, bobby shouldve taken frenchy’s bat away.
i dont get it. wren hardly seems to care about public relations–he didnt mind (effectively) getting rid of TWO atlanta legends. so then, why? WHY is jeffy still here?
June 20th, 2009 at 8:17 pm…and KJ got saved from being further embarrassed. He must be thanking Frenchy for grounding into that double play.
June 20th, 2009 at 8:17 pmbonitis, because nobody wants Frenchy like we don’t want him.
June 20th, 2009 at 8:18 pmFrancoeur’s bat should have been taken away long before the 3-1 count in his last PA.
June 20th, 2009 at 8:18 pmIf you check out KJ’s line for June, that’s ultimate suckness.
June 20th, 2009 at 8:20 pmWhat it comes to Cox and Francouer it’s like an addict and heroin. As long as Francouer is on the roster, Cox is going to run him out there everyday, all be damned. As long as an addict has a stash in their house, they are going to keep using. Wren needs to call an intervention and destroy the heroin so it can no longer be used.
June 20th, 2009 at 8:20 pmGee, don’t make him work or anything.
June 20th, 2009 at 8:21 pmgarrett anderson is such a professional at exerting the minimum amount of effort for everything. he barely caught that easy pop up.
June 20th, 2009 at 8:21 pmThat’s fine with me Rob. It’s not like we had a chance against Beckett.
June 20th, 2009 at 8:22 pmdo the braves know its not getaway day? where the hell are they trying to go? must have a dinner reservation…
June 20th, 2009 at 8:25 pmRecap is up.
